About Alexis

Alexis is a passionate secondary science educator in pursuit of a Masters of Science in Biology. She dedicates herself to her family, her community, and her betterment. While her heart is with the sciences, she also enjoys writing in her free time as well as reading horror novels. She takes to park trails with her dogs in the cooler months, and enjoys traveling in her summers and on long breaks.

Alexis has worked to blend her love of science with the call she feels to contribute to the education of young people. She strives to make science education accessible to students of all capabilities by igniting their passions with real world connections.

Alexis has written publications in the field of science education and has her work to other educators at school, district, and state levels. Alexis has even made appearances before the SBOE (State Board of Education) to advocate for best practices and accurate representations of scientific methods in education.
